The Great Hall at Barts North Wing offers an impressive and versatile space for talks, lectures, panel discussions, product launches and presentations. Set within one of London’s most historic medical buildings, it combines architectural character with practical, modern event facilities — ideal for organisations looking to host thoughtful, impactful gatherings in a distinctive setting.

With capacity for up to 280 guests seated, theatre style the Hall works equally well for keynote talks, conferences, spoken word events, panel-led discussions and academic or cultural programming.

Barts North Wing is an accredited member of the Meetings Industry Association.

The Hall can be configured to suit a wide range of formats, from theatre-style seating to more conversational layouts:

Built-in AV & presentation facilities

The Hall is equipped with essential presentation and speech-friendly AV, making it particularly well suited to talks and spoken-word events:

  • Lectern
  • PA system
  • Two roving microphones — ideal for speeches, panels and audience Q&A
  • Two TVs (45” and 55”) for supporting visuals or presentation

Optional additional AV

For larger-scale presentations or keynote-led events, additional AV is available:

  • Projector and 113” screen £300 + VAT

Live streaming & event recording

For events that need to reach audiences beyond the room, the Great Hall at Barts North Wing can support professional live streaming and high-quality recording, delivered by an experienced technical production team.

Ideal for conferences, panel discussions, keynote talks and hybrid events, our streaming option allows your content to be broadcast live or captured for future use, while maintaining the atmosphere and gravitas of the space.

Streaming and recording setups can include:

  • Multi-camera coverage, including remotely operated pan, tilt and zoom cameras
  • Wide-angle stage capture for full room context
  • Vision mixing, enabling smooth transitions between speakers, slides and audience shots
  • Integrated audio from the PA system for clear, broadcast-quality sound
  • Live streaming encoder for online audiences
  • High-quality recording for post-event playback or distribution

All streaming solutions are supported by on-site technical crew, ensuring seamless delivery from set-up through to live broadcast and de-rig.

ZOE’s Fibre Festival: Bringing science and storytelling to life at Barts North Wing

When ZOE set out to create its Fibre Festival, the ambition was to deliver an immersive experience that would bring the science of gut health to life in a way that felt engaging, and highly shareable.

Welcoming 150 guests, the event brought together media and influencers for an evening designed to inform, inspire and spark conversation. Built around the power of 30+ plants, the experience combined expert-led discussions with product sampling, app demonstrations, book signings and storytelling, creating a dynamic, multi-layered event.

The Great Hall of Barts North Wing provided a setting that not only supported this vision but elevated it. The venue’s striking historic architecture created an immediate sense of occasion, while its scale and layout allowed multiple activations to sit comfortably within one cohesive space, ensuring a seamless guest experience throughout.

The versatility of Barts North Wing enabled a range of event elements to be delivered within a single environment, from talks and demonstrations to informal networking and content capture. Its distinctive character provided a visually impactful backdrop leaving guests stunned, enhancing the overall atmosphere and naturally encouraging guests to share their experience.

The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with guests struck by the beauty and history of the venue and how well it complemented the experience. Engagement remained high throughout the evening, with guests actively participating and sharing content across social media, generating over 100 tags across Instagram and LinkedIn and extending the reach of the event beyond those in the room.
