To celebrate International Women’s Day (8 March), we have programmed ‘Pop Up Talks’ on our public open days Monday 9 & Tuesday 10 March.
Our drop-in 10 minute talks will highlight stories of women who’s names are on the Donor Boards in our Great Hall. Out of 3,016 names on the walls, only 155 of these are women. The majority of these women were a part of the wealthy and privileged within the country, and gave considerable amounts of money to St Bartholomew’s Hospital and yet their stories are often unknown or forgotten throughout history.
Pop Up Talks will take place in the Great Hall throughout the day at:
11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm on both days.
There is no need to book, just come along and hear from our brilliant volunteer team!
