Leave a legacy

The restored Great Hall 2025

The walls of the Great Hall bear the names of hundreds who have generously left legacies and bequests

Your gift for the future

The Great Hall at Barts proudly displays the names of hundreds of generous individuals who have left legacies and bequests to safeguard this special place. Today, legacies are as important as ever to Barts Heritage. By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help us maintain and enhance our unique art and architecture, and ensure that the historic buildings of Barts are well cared for and well used, long into the future.

If you are considering or planning to leave a legacy to Barts Heritage, thank you for your support and generosity. Gifts that are free from restrictions are particularly helpful, allowing Barts Heritage to invest wherever the need is greatest. Whether large or small, a percentage of an estate or a fixed sum, we are grateful for each and every thoughtful contribution.

Your Will is an important and personal document and we recommend you contact your solicitor, either to draft your will or a codicil to your existing Will.

If you decide to remember Barts Heritage in your Will, please let us know so that we can keep in touch and let you know how gifts like yours are supporting our work. You will find a pledge form here (Word document) or here (PDF format).
