A craft printing technique that lifts ink from printed paper and embeds it onto another surface, like paper, wood, un-primed canvas, or fabric.

You will work with images gathered by the artist, which will be inspired by artists who have worked to preserve the historic Barts North Wing.

All materials will be provided for an exploration into image transfer making.

About the artist

As an artist, Seán Myers works with abstract narratives in nature and the landscape, influenced by the writings of Stephen Hawking.

He has and continues to teach experimental printmaking at Central St Martins for the past 30 years, The Conservatoire, Blackheath since 2015, portfolio building at Chelsea College of Art, and has also created art & design workshops for young people aged 7-17 years old with Future Creatives – University of the Arts London (UAL).

His work has been shown at the Royal Society of Arts, London Original Print Fair, Somerset House, Mall Galleries, and Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design, Granary Square.

Seán also has an international private tuition practice, working both physically and online, with people of all ages who are interested in learning diverse mixed-media techniques that contribute towards building either a portfolio of work for school/university applications or for their own personal work practice.
